Ella says...

Last Friday night while driving to a birthday party, Ella and I have the following conversation:

Ella: Mommy, did you know that when King Luther was alive, red kids and white kids couldn't play together?
Me: What do you mean?
Ella: Well, King Luther made a law that let red kids and white kids play together.
Me: (VERY confused at this point) Honey, I don't know who King Luther is...
Ella: You know...we don't have school on Monday because of him.
Me: (trying not to laugh out loud) OHHHHH, you mean Martin Luther King?
Ella: Yeah, Martin Luther King. He made the world a better place. He made a law for red and white kids so they could play together.
Me: Don't you mean black kids, honey.
Ella: OH YEAH - I saw a red light and just said red kids.
